Careers & Post 16 Fair 12th October

I was delighted to see so many pupils and their families at the Careers and Post-16 Fair.  Many of the providers I spoke to were impressed by the level of interest shown by the pupils, many of whom are currently in the process of deciding their next steps beyond IES Breckland.

The evening proved to be a highly successful networking event, generating some potential work experience opportunities for Year 10′s.  Some of the providers have kindly agreed to participate in January’s Careers Speed Dating event and I am hopeful they will be able to further support the school, such as future Mock Interview sessions.

This term I am meeting with Year 11′s to help them plan their next steps, be it Sixth Form, College or an Apprenticeship.  Each Tuesday I will be seeing pupils individually to talk through their career ideas, enabling them to identify their strengths and discussing various post-16 and career pathways.  If any parents or carers would like to contact me directly to discuss this, my email is
